It’s only March, and our team has already been all over The NEWS! The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration (ACHR) NEWS is a leading trade magazine for the heating and air conditioning industry that is distributed weekly. If you haven’t had a chance to catch the articles, we’ve summarized them below.
In January, we were named the ‘Best Contractor to Work For‘ in the East Region. With thousands of potential candidates throughout the country, the contest recognizes only four contractors with work environments that encourage growth, opportunity, recognition, education, and a winning attitude for all employees. We offer competitive wages on top of a comprehensive benefits package. In addition, team members receive over 130 hours of paid training per year, benefiting from lessons on communication, customer service, safety, and other job-related skills. This month, industry leaders from around the country chimed in for an article about the evolution of HVAC training. We think an internal focus is necessary as the workforce is seeing significant growth locally. According to Virginia’s labor market information, seven out of the top ten counties in the state with the highest number of candidates looking for work in heating & air conditioning are in Hampton Roads. To capitalize on the hiring boom, we recently hired a development coordinator. He will manage our robust on-boarding process as well as further our mission to be the industry’s best through recruiting, hiring, training and retaining all our new team members.
In addition to our ongoing training, we also ensure all of our professional have the correct certifications. As Todd mentions in this article, having our technicians properly prepared gives them confidence in their abilities and our customers confidence in our guarantees. We take their satisfaction very seriously and strive to do whatever it takes to make both our customer and team member happy with their overall experience.
